MILITARY LEAVE
Team members will be granted unpaid leave for military service, training or related obligations in accordance with applicable law. Team members on military leave may substitute their non-work time for unpaid leave. Eligibility for continuation of health benefits and other benefits during leave and reinstatement following leave will be determined in accordance with applicable law.
TIME OFF TO VOTE
On days when elections for public office are scheduled throughout the state, county, city or town in which the team member works, to the extent necessary or requested by the team member, schedules will be adjusted to accommodate voting.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
TMCF may grant a leave of absence in certain circumstances. Team members should notify their supervisor and complete a leave of absence request form as soon as he or she is aware that he or she may need a leave of absence. TMCF will consider each team member’s request in accordance with applicable law and TMCF leave policies. Requesting or receiving a leave of absence in no way relieves team members of their obligation while on the job
to perform their job responsibilities capably and up to TMCF’s expectations, and to observe all policies, rules and procedures.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE WITHOUT PAY
Should a situation arise that temporarily prevents a team member from working, he or she may be eligible for a personal leave of absence without pay. Any request for a leave of absence without pay must be submitted in writing as far in advance as possible. The human resources department and the team member’s supervisor will review each request on a case-by-case basis. The decision to approve or disapprove may be based on, among other things, the length of time requested, TMCF’s business needs, the reasons for the leave, the effect the team member’s absence will have on the work in the division and the expectation that the team member will return to work when the leave expires. Leaves of absence will be considered only after all non-work and personal time has been exhausted and the team member used more than a reasonable amount of paid sick leave, as determined by TMCF.
