NOVARTIS CAREER
READINESS AND
MENTORING PROGRAM
TMCF and Novartis US Foundation presented the Career Readiness and Mentoring program for talented students attending 26 pre-selected HBCUs or historically Black medical schools (HBMSs). The goal of the program is to guide, shape and prepare the next generation of Black and African American health care professionals and leaders.
The program includes career readiness and leadership development experiences over a three-year timespan.
TRAIN THE TRAINER
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund partnered with accounting and consulting firm Grant Thornton LLP and American Honda Motor Co., Inc. to host a Train the Trainer Career Readiness program.
The goal of Train the Trainer is to provide an experience that reflects TMCF’s mission of preparing the next generation of workforce talent to become globally competitive emerging leaders. The immersion provides 30 HBCU faculty, staff and administration from 10 HBCUs with the insight, resources and relevant strategy needed to upskill students professionally and prepare them for global impact, as well as successful internships and career opportunities with employer partners.
ZS SEED IMMERSION
In partnership with ZS, TMCF hosted the ZS SEED Immersion Program. The ZS SEED Program allows students to embark on an extensive and immersive personal, professional and technical development journey.
The ZS SEED Program is an opportunity for bright, collaborative and ambitious students to impact their careers through a competitively unique program targeting currently enrolled first- and second-year students with a chance to plant an early seed towards their ideal job.
Each year a select cohort of SEED Fellows begin the journey - working with ZSers on client problems to deliver real-world solutions. Students applying and accepted to participate in the ZS SEED Program have the opportunity to participate in this developmental program. The first stage of this journey, the ZS SEED Immersion Program, is an opportunity for students to engage in the culture, approaches and impact.
