CITI IMMERSION
This highly competitive program targets incoming first-year freshmen students in all majors. Selected participants engage in a one-year multi-faceted professional development program designed to provide insight into their strengths and talents, support with choosing majors and coursework that will strategically maximize student success and minimize time, and support their retention and progression toward on-time graduation.
CNA /GUIDEWARE
HBCU INNOVATION
CHALLENGE
The TMCF I&E programming team, in partnership with CNA Insurance and Guidewire Software, hosted the inaugural HBCU Innovation Challenge. This exciting event is a three-and-a-half day case competition covering design thinking, business modeling and
pitch instruction. CNA and Guidewire hosted panel sessions focused on careers in insurance and software development. Winners received scholarship awards and participants had the opportunity to meet with CNA and Guidewire’s executives and senior leaders.
HENNESSY FELLOWS PROGRAM
TMCF, in partnership with the Hennessy brand of Moet Hennessy, sponsors the Hennessy Fellows Program. Students working towards
a graduate degree, master’s, J.D. or Ph.D. at an HBCU are eligible. Selected fellows immerse themselves in the business of professional development as participants in a seven-day summer boot camp in New York, receive up to $40,000 in need-based funding that will
be applied to two academic years of study and have an opportunity to devise a give-back project pitching for up to $10,000 to make an impact in a desired community during the TMCF Leadership Institute. Each fellow has a senior executive mentor and career strategist/ coach throughout the experience. The Hennessy Fellows Program
is an unprecedented, transformative professional development experience that accelerates participants’ potential, focusing on the core competencies needed for the C-suite track.
