BOEING HBCU IMMERSION
Boeing | TMCF HBCU Investment, the Boeing HBCU immersion is a highly competitive program that will bring the brightest freshmen and sophomores from Boeing’s partner historically Black colleges and universities together for a three-day, all-inclusive, assimilated introduction to The Boeing Company. Facilitated by Boeing leaders and the HBCU strategy team, the Boeing HBCU Immersion will provide students with increased knowledge and awareness of Boeing products and services. Students will also discover the myriad of possibilities that a future career in business, IT and engineering
in the aerospace industry. Students selected for the Boeing HBCU Immersion will have the opportunity to virtually experience Boeing corporate culture, while giving Boeing leaders the unique opportunity to engage highly sought freshmen and sophomores from its partner HBCUs.
CAPITAL ONE IMMERSION PROGRAM
In partnership with Capital One, TMCF hosted the 2023 Capital One HBCU Immersion. At Capital One, diversity, inclusion and belonging are core values. Capital One empowers its associates to do great work by creating an inclusive culture—diverse values and perspectives foster collaboration and encourage innovative ideas—and a place where associates of all backgrounds can thrive by bringing their most authentic selves to work. The 2023 Capital One HBCU Immersion offered 30 selected students an opportunity to embark on an extensive and immersive personal, professional and technical development journey under the leadership of Capital One mentors.
CBRE
The TMCF Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) programming team partnered with CBRE to develop
the 2023 CBRE Corporate Real Estate Innovation Challenge. The CBRE Innovation Challenge was a two-and-a-half day business pitch competition where students come together to tackle real world challenges in the commercial real estate industry and present
their innovative solutions to a panel of expert judges. Students from HBCUs are selected to participate in the pitch competition and placed on cross-functional teams. Students gain experience in venture ideation, business model canvas, pitching, and intra- and entrepreneurship.
