 EMPOWERING
HBCU STUDENTS THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS
TMCF supports historically Black colleges and university (HBCU) students and its 47 member schools by securing scholarship investments and expanding capacity-building support, a critical component of our organization.
TMCF scholarships have proven time and again to have a tremendous impact on our students’ lives. This funding affords greater access to higher education our students may not otherwise have. In the bigger picture, this allows students to effectively complete their set career pathway to achieve the long-term success and financial stability they so richly deserve.
Each year, thriving, academically strong students pursuing degrees at accredited HBCUs are invited to compete for these scholarship awards.
In 2022, growth in TMCF scholarships awarded was momentous with more than $24 million awarded,
an 85% increase over last year. To date, TMCF
has awarded over $500 million in assistance to students and our member schools. Of those, 98% are distributed exclusively to HBCUs, PBIs, more than any other organization supporting the Black college community.
