AND FUNDRAISING GALA 2022
The Empowered State of Mind Leadership Institute culminated with TMCF’s annual awards and fundraising gala in particularly grand style to celebrate our 35th anniversary.
This 35th-anniversary gala marked a return to in- person events, welcoming students, community, government, education and corporate supporters. TMCF celebrated Justice Marshall’s legacy, honored founder Dr. N. Joyce Payne, and paid homage to past TMCF leadership who advanced diversity, equity and inclusion. The event was also made special in that we presented the inaugural Champion of Diversity award to the NBA, a founding partner.
This year’s star-studded event raised more than $6.3 million, which will support scholarships and programs for nearly 300,000 students at TMCF member schools and publicly supported HBCUs.
