Who or what inspired you to pursue your current career? Owning a business has always been a dream of mine. Finding the right business at the right time was key. I was inspired by my
own personal struggles shopping for fashionable curvy options locally. It was a market that had been ignored, so I decided to go for it.
What I like best about what I do is: Ful lling a need in the community. A great out t has the power to make a woman feel con dent, and that is the goal every day for my customers!
Advice I would give to young female entrepreneurs: Go for it. Don’t give up. Show up. Be exible. Be consistent. Stay focused.
My greatest successes have been: Providing jobs as well as being able to give back in our community!
It’s important to support other woman- owned businesses because: The power of women supporting each other is not only ceiling- breaking but grows the economy exponentially. Supporting other woman-owned businesses truly raises the bar in business as a whole.
What’s something interesting about you
that not many people know? I’m a creative at heart. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, so I’m trained in drawing, painting, sculpting and design.
What are your favorite things to do on the Coast? I love day trips to Horn Island, brunching with my best girls and reveling during Mardi Gras season!
What moment from your life made the biggest impact on your career? Growing up, my parents always toyed with the idea of owning
a business. That idea never left me. I knew that it would happen one day if the right opportunity and timing opened up.
