Who or what inspired you to pursue your current career?
I met Carlene Alfonso through my years as director of GAYFERS Career Club. When I retired from fashion merchandising, she said I should try real estate. I am grateful that she did!
What I like best about what I do is:
It’s exciting to work with people and selling them on our Mississippi Gulf Coast! I love telling them about the various towns and what we o er.
My greatest successes have been:
Being recognized as the top performing residential agent on the Coast for several years in a row gives me a great feeling of accomplishment and gratitude. These achievements gave me the experience and con dence to start my own successful brokerage.
It’s important to support other woman-owned businesses because:
As the 1989 President of Mississippi Business and Professional Women, I have always been an advocate of women in the professional world. I’m pleased to not only be in a eld lled with so many women, but to be part of the Coast professional community and its many visible women.
What moment from your life made the biggest impact on your career?
Deciding to attend Mississippi University for Women, The “W” gave me leadership skills that I have used throughout my life. There, I learned to be independent and self su cient, which has allowed me to be a leader in each of my careers.
