Dr. Mary Graham is President of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. The College is dedicated to providing world-class educational opportunities for students from all walks of life. Partnering with local industry is critical to MGCCC’s success, and partnerships have led to efforts such as apprenticeship programs offering baccalaureate degrees on Gulf Coast campuses.
Heather Freret Anderson is Editor and Publisher of the Stone County Enterprise and has served in that role since 2001. She graduated from Stone County High School and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She is active in local theatre and enjoys spending time with family and traveling. Her two sons currently serve in the United States Military.
Pinkie Paige retired from the Stone County School District in 1998 after 26 years as an educator. She is beloved by former students whose lives she touched and inspired and still encourages today. She is married to Charles Paige and her most important titles are that of Mom and Grandmother.
Marilyn M. Monroe is a wife, mother, grandmother, and has an extended family that includes just about everybody in the county! She teaches the Sister’s Keeper’s Mission group, and sings and leads praise and worship at New Welcome Hill Baptist Church. She has been employed by the Bank of Wiggins for 16 Years. This community leader is the founder of the Annual Senior Citizen’s Christmas Dinner and of the Jerry Fairley Memorial Scholarship Foundation and exhibits an extraordinary commitment to Stone County. She is quick to give God the glory for her accomplishments.
Kathryn Lewis has become a dynamic community advocate since her retirement as Chair of the Fine Arts Department at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Passionate about her community’s heritage and its children, she supports reading, gathering and sharing local history through Murals, the Telling Trees Project and volunteerism. Kathryn was recently honored as a Governor’s Arts Award recipient and Stone County’s Leadership Award.
