a full-time director. “It’s important for Moss Point to pick up the Main Street program and be associated with it,” Mayor King said. “Our whole rejuvenation is about breathing new life into our downtown and Main Street gives us the tools to do it.”
He points out that the investment that’s making Moss Point more livable is all over town. One example is Rejuvenation Park on the site where the old police station was demolished. “It’s beautiful. We’ve created space for people of different backgrounds to come together,” he said.
The new downtown park includes citrus trees, a walking trail, ADA playground equipment, benches and a covered stage.
The Pascagoula River Audubon Center in Moss Point brings visitors to the city and is the epicenter of nature based tourism in the region. The center has created a conservation legacy and is an Audubon-designated
