Important Bird Area.
The city is also home to Pelican Landing, a waterfront
conference center just off I-10, and the Old Pallet Mill Welcome Center downtown that businesses, families and friends enjoy for meetings, weddings and reunions.
Moss Point will participate in Cruisin’ the Coast for the third time this year and Wright says it will be big. It’s also the third year for the Wake the Dog! Boat Races and “they’re doing really well.”
The annual Christmas by the River takes place December 1 when downtown Moss Point will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring parades, both on land and on water, live music, fireworks and a Christmas marketplace. “This is the highlight of our holiday season,” Wright said.
“This once-a-year extravaganza is complete with music ranging from local artists to the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, pictures with Santa Claus, carriage rides, antique car display, food and celebration.”
