“I have always loved numbers and I love to learn about the di erent aspects of“ the ocean and the deep sea that I cannot see on land.
Resurrection Catholic High School senior Isabella Rae Keenum, 18, plans to follow in her dad’s footsteps and become a certi ed public accountant. Working as a CPA is where Bella, as everyone calls her, sees herself in 10 years, but for now the daughter of Jason and Ginger Keenum of Pascagoula is busy with school and community activities.
“My favorite subjects are math and marine science,” she said. “I have always loved numbers and I love to learn about the di erent aspects of the ocean and the deep sea that I cannot see on land.”
Bella is involved in Z Club, Key Club, Interact Club,
St. Vincent de Paul Club, Eagle Legacy and is a senior member of the school tennis team. Out of school she serves as vice president of the Jeune Esprit. “I like spending time with the members and doing service projects in the community,” she says of the Jeune Esprit. “I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends boating, going to the beach, traveling, dancing and of course shopping.”
Her dad is the person who has most in uenced her. “He is such a hard worker and always follows his dreams,” she said. “He encourages me to follow my dreams and not get discouraged and to never give up.”
Bella also admires local community leader Todd Trenchard for overcoming obstacles in his life.
If she could have a conversation with anyone living or

deceased, it would be her Grammy’s parents. “I have heard stories about how wonderful a woman and mother my Great Grandmother was. And if she is anything like my Grammy,
I could only imagine how incredible she would be. I would
also like to speak with my Great Grandfather, who held some interesting jobs, including boxer, re ghter and policeman,” she said.
Her plans after high school graduation are to attend the University of South Alabama.
