“My family, friend“ s and coaches have been my biggest motivators.
Eighteen-year-old Nour Tayara has made a name for himself at St. Stanislaus College both for his academic and athletic success.
“Nour has attended Saint Stanislaus for six years
and is the Student Council President, a four-sport athlete (football, baseball, track, and tennis) and an Honors/AP student,” says St. Stanislaus Principal Gary Blackburn. “We are very proud of him and his many accomplishments.”
Tayara, a senior this year, is an exemplary student, balancing his studies with sports, time with his family and friends, and club membership, including the National Honor Society and Key Club.
“My fondest memories from my years at St. Stanislaus have been the bonds formed with my classmates over the years while playing sports,” he said. “My family, friends and coaches have been my biggest motivators.”
He plans to play football and basketball at Millsaps College while taking a Pre-Med Path, majoring in biology. Ultimately, Tayara hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a doctor.
In his spare time, Tayara enjoys spending his time with friends, either at the gym or enjoying the coastal waters that they can sh, ski and boat on. “It also doubles as a very good view on the way to school,” he adds.
Tayara is the son of Wakkas Tayara and Rana Jundi.
