Inspired by her mother to be a leader, Addyson
Torjusen is involved in many areas of her high school and throughout her community. “She has shown me how to be a strong woman and how to believe in myself,” Addyson says about her mother, Syree.
A strong woman indeed, Torjusen leads the student council at Pascagoula High School as its president and has been involved with the organization since middle school. For two years, she participated in the district’s health science program and is a member of the National Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa. She was named Most Beautiful and selected to be in the in the Pascagoula High School Hall of Fame.
Involved in many activities, Torjusen is a school cheerleader who has twice made All-American status.
Her favorite hobby, however, is dancing. Since she was three years old, she has danced with the Melange Dance Company of Jackson County. Torjusen began performing in the dance company’s Nutcracker ballet as a sheep many years ago and eventually performed as the Snow Queen.
Through the Jeune Espirt social club, she has served her community as the club’s community outreach chair. Alongside other members, she helped pack food for backpack buddies, served the less fortunate at Our Daily

Bread and helped with beach clean-ups. She even nds time to work, helping families as a babysitter and working at Lee Tracy Remedy at Singing River Pascagoula.
The daughter of Mr. Henry (Hank) Torjusen and Mrs. Syrie Torjusen, Torjusen plans to attend Mississippi State University after graduating.
