With health and safety being a pillar of Moss Point’s 2020 Vision Campaign, the city is devoted to insuring the safety of its citizens.
passion and love the community has shown, saying, “It has been a short two years, but I am committed to the work and rejuvenation that Moss Point needs.”
Central to the 2020 Vision Campaign is the importance of
Moss Point’s natural environment, adequate sewer, safe water and public safety services. A report outlining the city’s achievements will be published in the Rejuvenation Briefing, which will be introduced at the Mayor’s first-quarter State of the City Address. With a new sales tax revenue and a proposed 2 percent prepared food tax, the City of Moss Point is on the path towards its 2020 Vision Campaign.
The Main Street Moss Point Program is dynamic and has been designed to support and enable the Rejuvenation Vision for 2020. Existing and emerging leadership for the program have achieved
investment and projects that have had a positive economic impact and will grow over the coming years.
Main Street produced the 2019 Cruisin’ the River City event,
which was the largest in Moss
Point’s Cruisin’ the Coast history.
In addition to bringing exciting festivals to the city, Main Street will be working on the aesthetic design
of downtown along with ordinances and policies that will encourage sustainable business development. With the creation of a downtown entertainment district, which includes a “Go Cup” ordinance and a proposed golf cart ordinance, Main Street will continue to recommend policies, zoning improvements and ways for creative ideas to flourish.
