to exceed expectations on
the eld. Instead of partying
or recuperating from studies and sports over Spring Break, Salvador traveled to the Netherlands to train with
the Dutch Professional Club VV Alkmaar of the Women’s Premier League.
ALCORN’S MORTAR BOARD INDUCTS 12 NEW MEMBERS
e University’s Epignosis Chapter of the Mortar Board College Senior Honor Society held an induction ceremony Tuesday, April 24 in the Ray Johnson Auditorium of the Extension and Research Complex. A total of 12 members were inducted during the ceremo- ny. e students are Ethan Barnes; Lydia Batey; Santana Bender; Tynika Conner; Tylea Davenport; Gaquetta Horton; Mark Owens; Ro’Myrus Preston, Jenedria Price; Stacy Shorts; Erika Wheeler; and Ekeria Williams.

e purpose of the annual HBCU Battle of the Brains competition is to promote talented business and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students while connecting them with some
of the country’s top employers. It was during the competition that Alcorn State University senior Kevin Washington earned a position with one of the country’s most notable companies.
