One of the joys of teaching for upcoming Alcorn State University graduate, LaTasha Ford is impart- ing wisdom and knowledge to the younger generation. Ford completed her student teaching  eld experience at Gilmer McLaurin Elementary School in Natchez, Mississippi.
With her dedication to earning a degree from Alcorn State Universi- ty, Pamela Jackson, a Vicksburg, Mississippi resident, is an excellent example of perseverance. On Friday, Dec. 7, Jackson, a program manager for the Vicksburg Housing Au- thority, received a bachelor’s degree in business administration during Alcorn State University’s 2018 Fall Commencement.

Four students from Alcorn State University attended the  urgood Marshall College Fund Leadership Institute (TMCFLI) Friday, Oct. 26 through Wednesday, Oct. 30 in Washington, D. C. Moriah Batiest, Robert Tatum, Jr., Ja- nine Hume- Dawson, and RaShunda Veals were among the 405 Leadership Scholars in attendance.
