Beau Rivage employees give in many ways
BILOXI — The Beau Rivage Social Impact and Sustainability Council (SIS) was busy recently and hosted several events that benefited the community.
A canned food drive by departments
at Beau Rivage in March resulted in employees donating more than 3,700 pounds of food to the Lord is My Help food pantry. MGMAir, Beau Rivage’s charter flight service team, won the competition by donating 1,349.5 pounds of canned goods.
Donations by department totaled 3,730 pounds. Food and beverage, security and table games all brought in more than 500 pounds each with 586, 585 and 536 pounds, respectively. Front desk collected 206 pounds. Food totals in pounds by other departments were: slot operations, 191.5; spa and salon, 153.5; human resources, 69.5; and
marketing, 53.5.
Plus, earlier in March at the
Lord is My Help, Beau Rivage’s Veterans Employee Networking Group plated lunches for the Meals on Wheels program and served them to area residents.
A Mardi Gras bead recycling project was also held throughout March. Employees collected more than 510 pounds of Mardi Gras beads and presented the beads
to the Mississippi Aquarium, who in turn, worked with the nonprofit group Arc of Greater New Orleans to clean, repair and repurpose them for next year.

Beau Rivage team members also participated in two fundraisers for the SIS Council. There was the Valentine’s Day Candy Gram event and the Pop into
Spring popcorn sale with both events benefiting the MGM Resorts Foundation. Team members raised more than $2,600 for the foundation.
  Packing Food Boxes
Ameristar Casino Hotel team members packed 600 cases of food working with the Mississippi Food Network. That is about 20,400 pounds of canned vegetables, beans and fruit along with packages of dry
goods and other items that will be distributed to senior citizen programs across Mississippi.
