   Feeding First Responders
Trop Greenville spent a day in April thanking Washington County first responders for their service. Members of the Greenville police and fire departments, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, city maintenance and sanitation workers and EMT workers from surrounding areas were treated to a full meal. The workers were also given a serving of appreciation.
     Walk For Diabetes
 Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast and Boomtown Casino Biloxi participated in Mississippi’s Walk For Diabetes- Gulf Coast in March. Representing the two properties were Aimee Moran, Hollywood and Boomtown; Charles Lewallen, Boomtown; Tosha Tousant, Hollywood and Boomtown; Kathy Washington, Hollywood; Lora Harris, Hollywood; Charleyn Jacobsen, Hollywood; and David Sloan, Boomtown. The walk was at Jones Park in Gulfport.
 Donating To The VA
The Gold Strike Casino Resort leadership team donated $5,000 worth of hotel toiletries to the VA Medical Center in Memphis. Gold Strike delivered 36 cases of shampoo, 15 cases of conditioner and 66 cases of lotion to the medical center. Veterans admitted to the facility are required to bring their
own supplies, which causes shortages among patients, according to Voluntary Services. It is hoped the donation will stem the shortages.
  Helping Out In Natchez
Several executives from Magnolia Bluffs Casino & Hotel, including General Manager Tim Morrissey (center), volunteered to assist with a free community shopping day benefiting those in need with new clothes. The event was sponsored by the City of Natchez and Seeds of Change.

Teacher Appreciation Week
 Leaders from Hollywood Tunica and 1st Jackpot casinos treated the teachers at Tunica Elementary School to box lunches and insulated Igloo coolers during Teacher Appreciation Week. General Manager Bill Belcher along with Robbie Butler, vice president of human resources; Kerri Doles, HRBP; Tokeytha Berryhill, human resources generalist; Shelly Lofton, vice president of finance and CFO; Sunwoo Choi, director of hospitality; and Glenn Greer, director of facilities, distributed more than 50 lunches and coolers to the school’s teachers.
Spaghetti Dinner Help
WaterView Casino Hotel recently donated supplies, including 40 pounds of hamburger, to the Knights of Columbus for their annual spaghetti
dinner fundraiser. Money raised through the fundraiser is used to support various groups in the community. WaterView Director of Marketing Amy Hudson (left) and General Manager Penny Bankston (right) helped deliver the donation to Charles Hahn, Knights of Columbus representative.
