sent to the tornado victims in Winona, Mississippi.
Harrah’s Gulf Coast Biloxi employees partnered with the American Red Cross to provide financial assistance. A bake sale was held in the team member dining room with funds going to assist those in Mississippi and Alabama. Karen Pringle, surveillance manager, and Linh Nguyen, hotel operations manager, contributed a majority of the pastries and treats that were sold. The bake sale raised more than $1,300, and with Harrah’s double- matching those earnings, a total of $3,900 was donated.
Beau Rivage also did its part to help provide relief to residents in Rolling
Fork. The resort donated cases of
sheets and bedding, cleaning towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, tealight candles and T-shirts. “They have done
the same for us when we’ve been hit by hurricanes along the Gulf Coast,” said Beau Rivage Community Affairs Manager Missy Dombrowski. “When I got the
call, we reached out to several different departments here at Beau Rivage and they all came together and answered quickly. We were able to put these donations together in two days.”
The collection drive was spearheaded by the Mississippi Hotel and Lodging Association.
And, Boyd Gaming and its two Mississippi properties — IP Casino Resort Spa in Biloxi and Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall in Tunica — announced they will contribute $50,000 to the American Red Cross in support of ongoing relief efforts following the tornadoes that struck Mississippi.
The $50,000 contribution will directly support the Red Cross in its efforts to provide shelter, food and health services to Mississippi residents who have been impacted by the storms.

our neighbors and friends when they need us most,” said Vincent Schwartz, senior vice president of operations for Boyd Gaming and general manager of IP Casino Resort Spa. “We are proud to support the American Red Cross as they provide much- needed relief and assistance to our fellow Mississippians as they recover and rebuild from this terrible storm.”
