Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Pinktober at Hard Rock
Hard Rock Biloxi’s annual Pinktober campaign continued this year raising money and increasing awareness and research. Employees purchased Pinktober T-shirts for $20 and wore the shirts with jeans on Wednesdays in October. Additionally, pizza and ice cream were sold in the employee dining room. Plus, $2 from every item sold in the employee store was donated to the cause. A total of
$8,000 was raised and donated to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Hard Rock’s building and iconic guitar were lit pink during the month.

Together We Fight
Together We Fight was the slogan at WaterView Casino Hotel during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Team members wore the slogan on their pink T-shirts on designated days in October.
Pretty In Pink
Employees at Harlow’s Casino, led by General Manager Roscoe Greene (seated, center), gathered together to show their support during Breast Casino Awareness Month. The employees at the Greenville casino wore pink shirts every Thursday in October. Earlier in the year, Harlow’s made a contribution to the Fannie Lou Hamer Cancer Foundation, an organization that strives to eradicate cancer in Mississippi, particularly in the Mississippi Delta.

Hollywood Casino Tunica executives wore pink to help commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Through breast cancer awareness efforts, many women have become more aware of the importance of early detection and also the deadly effects that this type of cancer can have on a woman’s life.
Pink on Fridays
Trop Greenville observed Breast Cancer Awareness Month by creating different shades of pink pumpkins. The decorated pumpkins were placed in the casino lobby. Additionally, employees, including Mark Blair, security, and Clyde Powell, bartender, wore pink and black T-shirts every Friday in October.
