Golden Nugget honors STARS
BILOXI —
Golden Nugget
Biloxi recently
named its STAR
Employees of
the Month for
the third quarter
of 2022. A
luncheon was
held to honor
the nominees for their service and dedication.
The STAR Employee of the Month winners were Talia Keiper, table games, winning for July; Alexandria Sewell, surveillance, August; and Amber Gardner, hotel, September.
Kim Tran, food and beverage supervisor, was recognized as STAR Leader of the Quarter for the third quarter. Tran started her career
at Golden Nugget in April 2014.
In 2019,
she became
a beverage supervisor, and by the end of
the year, she was promoted to
general manager of Lillie’s Asian Cuisine. Tran
takes pride in her work and is an integral part of the food and beverage operations.
Each STAR Employee of the Month received $300, plus $100 in resort credit and a day off with pay. The Leader of the Quarter was awarded $500, plus $200 in resort credit, eight hours of paid time off and a reserved parking spot. Winners
also are eligible for the Employee/ Leadership of the Year award.

Harrah’s Gulf Coast named its Team Members and Supervisors of the Month for July, August and September. In July, Gary Tallent,
security, was named Team Member of the Month, while Tamra Lucas, hotel administration, was named Supervisor of the Month. Deidra Fairley, security officer, was Team Member

slot operations supervisor, was Supervisor of the Month for August. And in September, Anthony Thrash, EVS cleaner, was Team member of the Month, and Jackie Bledsoe, sous chef, was named Supervisor of the Month. Winners and nominees are nominated by fellow team members.

HANCOCK COUNTY — Silver Slipper Casino Hotel named Employees and Supervisors/Managers of the Month during luncheons held in the Blue Bayou Bar & Grill. Nominees and
winners for July, August and
September were honored.
In July, Kadeem Perkins,
bartender, was named
front-of-house Employee
of the Month, and Katie
Plescia, Palm Court cook,
was named back-of-house
Employee of the Month.
Table games supervisor Phuong Nguyen was named Supervisor of the Month.
Nominees included Susan Garling, Player Services; Fayekella Allen, buffet; Sierra Elliott, gift shop; Derion Johnson, food and beverage supervisor; Patrick Sims, buffet; and Robert Manning, table games.
In August, the front-of-house Employee of the Month was Emily Newman, table games, and Deanna Louque, housekeeping, was the back-of-house Employee of the Month. Rodger Matthews, surveillance supervisor, was named Supervisor of the Month.
Nominees for August included Justin Clouatre, buffet; Jacqueline Bilbo, cage; Melissa Buchanan, cage; Connie Conners, table games; Robert Kiser, slots; and Brianna Smith, player services.
And for September, Lisa Loth, marketing coordinator, was front-of-house Employee of the Month. Joshua Wallace, lead slot technician, was named back-of-house Employee of the Month. James Dailey, table games supervisor, was honored as Supervisor of the Month.
September nominees included Devin Bermond, slots; Phillip Summers Sr., food and beverage; LoryJean Farve, food and beverage; Thi Vu, table games; Daren Peterson, EVS; and Russ Gilgert, facilities.
Nominees and winners each received gifts and prizes, including cash and gift certificates.
