In My Shoes
Several members of Riverwalk Casino Hotel’s management team recently worked a day in an hourly team member’s position as part of the property’s Walk A Day In My Shoes program. Scot Warren, director of facilities, spent a day as a facilities employee, while Deniece Levi, food and beverage manager, worked in transportation. David Lee, director of facilities, worked in housekeeping, and Brock VanWye (left), director of marketing, spent the day cleaning as part of the EVS team.
Special Thank You
As the summer season came to a close, Hard Rock Biloxi served its employees a special shift meal in the buffet to say thank you for their hard work. The menu was a Taste of Tequila’s, which is Hard Rock’s poolside restaurant. There were a lot of unique challenges over the summer, but management noted employees did not miss a beat.
Celebrating Associates
Pearl River Resort celebrated its associates in October. Associates who have been with the Silver Star Casino Hotel, Golden Moon Hotel Casino and Bok Homa Casino for at least five years were recognized
at a luncheon that included remarks from Resort leadership and Chief Cyrus Ben of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. Honored were 73 five-year associates (above); 79 associates with 10 years of service; 47 associates with 15 years; 27 associates with 20 years; and 34 associates recognized for 25 years of employment. At Bok Homa, 10 five- year associates were honored.
Culinary Appreciation
Beau Rivage’s culinary team has been nominated for MGM’s prestigious SHOW Service Excellence Award for Quarter 2. The team approached the challenges of the past year by developing innovative ways to deliver meaningful and memorable experiences to external and internal guests and team members. Members of Beau Rivage’s executive team hosted an appreciation day for the culinary team, formally thanking them for their service. Each member of the team received a culinary shirt.

Happy Anniversary
Bally’s Vicksburg celebrated the one-year anniversary of their table games department. The celebration took place on Oct. 1. General Manager Derrius Morris joined with directors and managers to cook and serve all team members hamburgers, hotdogs and grilled chicken breasts with all the sides.
