Staind front man and country music star to perform Nov. 8
TUNICA — At Gold Strike The- atre, see country music and rock hit-maker Aaron Lewis on Friday, Nov. 8.
Lewis is a versatile musician known for his role as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the rock band Staind and his subsequent solo career in country music. His musical journey began in the mid-1990s when he co-founded Staind, a band that gained prominence with their distinctive blend of alterna- tive metal and post-grunge sounds.
Staind’s breakthrough came with
their 1999 album Dysfunction, which
included the hit single “Mudshovel.”
Their success skyrocketed with the re-
lease of Break the Cycle in 2001, featur-
ing chart-topping hits like “It’s Been Awhile,” “Outside,” and “Fade.” “It’s Been Awhile,” in particular, became a defining song of the early 2000s rock scene, showcasing Lewis’s powerful vocal delivery and emotional depth.
In 2010, Lewis ventured into a solo career, transitioning to country mu- sic with the release of his debut EP, Town Line, which included the hit sin- gle “Country Boy.” This move show- cased his versatility and ability to cross genres while maintaining his distinc- tive style. His first full-length country album, The Road (2012), further solidi- fied his presence in the country music scene with tracks like “Endless Sum- mer” and “Granddaddy’s Gun.”
Lewis’s solo work continues to reflect his deep, introspective song- writing, often drawing on personal experiences and reflecting a rugged,
authentic country sound. His subse-
quent albums, such as Sinner (2016) and State I’m In (2019), have been well-received by both
critics and fans, cementing his reputation.
