 CHOCTAW — Comedian Rodney Carrington comes to Pearl River Resort’s Silver Star Hotel & Casino, Saturday, Aug. 31.
Carrington is famous for his unique blend of stand-up comedy and country music. Born in 1968 in Texas, Carrington initially pursued a career in music, but his talent for comedy soon took center stage.
Carrington’s breakthrough came with his debut album Hangin’ with Rodney in 1998, which showcased his humor on relationships, family life, and Southern culture. Carrington’s success continued with two more hit albums, each featuring his trademark mix of comedic storytelling and musical performances.
Carrington’s career expanded into television with the sitcom “Rodney,” where he starred as a fictionalized version of himself.
Carrington remains a popular figure in the comedy circuit, celebrated for his raunchy yet relatable humor and enduring appeal to audiences nationwide.
