    Harrah’s adds two to marketing team
BILOXI — Harrah’s Gulf Coast has announced two new hires to
its marketing team. Rashaunda McQueen joins as casino host, while Kaitlynn Yocum has been promoted to marketing coordinator after a successful internship.
McQueen began her role as
casino host in September. A
Mississippi Gulf Coast native and Gulfport resident, McQueen’s
extensive experience in customer- focused roles spans retail, sales, travel management, casino guest services,
and casino hotel management. Her expertise in customer relations and her familiarity with the Gulf Coast community will strengthen Harrah’s Gulf Coast’s commitment to exceptional service.
Yocum, originally hired as a marketing intern in May, quickly advanced to the

    position of marketing coordinator in September. In her new role, Yocum supports both National Casino Marketing and VIP Casino Marketing departments. A recent graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in business administration, Yocum has impressed her team with her drive, positive energy, and commitment.

New SVP/GM at Isle Lula
LULA — Mitzie Slavicek has been named senior vice president and general manager at Isle of Capri Lula.
Before coming to Mississippi, she spent nearly
28 of her 30 years in the casino industry working at Horseshoe Hammond in the Indiana market. Over the years, she has worn many hats, including spearheading centralized scheduling, leading the beverage department, building the sportsbook and working in poker. Slavicek continued to keep table games a core focus, and most recently served as the director of table games at Horseshoe Hammond.

  Beau’s Fallen Oak brings in new GM
BILOXI — Lydia Kim recently joined the Beau Rivage Fallen Oak team as general manager, bringing a background in competitive golf and experience in sports sponsorship. Known for her collaborative leadership style, Kim aims to foster community engagement and inspire team growth.
Kim began her career with MGM Resorts International in
September 2021 in
the Corporate Sports
 Partnership division. She
managed golf programs,
coordinated PGA and
LPGA player appearances,
and organized special
events and regional
collaborations to promote
MGM. She also developed
a network of MGM golf
ambassadors and established more than 25 partnerships with professional golfers and their agents.
Originally from Spokane, Washington, she attended St. John’s University in Queens, N.Y.,
on an athletic scholarship, earning a bachelor’s degree in sports management. During her time on the university’s golf team, she distinguished herself both academically and athletically, earning the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award.
As general manager, Kim will provide strategic direction, oversee daily operations, and lead all aspects of the Fallen Oak Golf Club, including food and beverage, retail, valet, and other associated services.
