Employees and Manager of the Month for October
Employee luncheons held at Silver Slipper
HANCOCK COUNTY — Silver Slipper Casino Hotel employees were honored during monthly luncheons at the Blue Bayou Bar & Grill. Employees and Supervisors/Managers of the Month winners and nominees were recognized for October, November and December.
In October, Triston Garvin, valet, was named front-of-house Employee of the Month, and Rachel Cheney, EVS, was named back-of-house Employee of the Month. Paul Reed Jr., assistant shift supervisor, was named Manager of the Month.
Nominees included James Desoto, facilities maintenance tech; Rita Lizana, pit clerk lead; James Stanfield, security manager; Elizabeth Snyder, events and promotions supervisor; Barry Lusich, valet; and Liza Bordoy, PBX reservationist.
In November, the front-of-house Employee of the Month was Shannon Cederholm, valet/bellman, and Quentin Chatman, slot tech, was the back-of-house Employee of the Month. David Hilbert, events and promotion manager, was named Manager of the Month.
November nominees included Alice Smith, housekeeper; Christie Oliver, housekeeping shift supervisor; Evette Necaise, guest room lead; Karrie Ballantine, cocktail server; Tyler Echelmeier, slot floor person; and May Sander, food and beverage supervisor.
And for December, Lisa Hugger, table games, was
named front-of-house Employee of the Month. Brian Parker, surveillance operator, was named back-of-house Employee of the Month. And, Nicholas Nichols, surveillance IT systems tech supervisor, was honored as Manager of the Month.
December nominees included Annick Edwards, security officer; Robert Cassell, barback, Belinda Boone, guest room attendant; Damian Dorsey, housekeeping shift supervisor; and Brittany Dougherty, AP supervisor.
Nominees and winners each received gifts and prizes, including cash and gift certificates.

Annual Awards
Annual awards were presented recently at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort. Travonte Chandler, casino EVS supervisor, was named Supervisor of the Year. Associates of the Year were Kathy Montgomery, Player Services cashier, front of house, and Phuong Pham, baker, back of house.
Best employees of 2024 named at Golden Nugget
BILOXI — Golden Nugget Biloxi held its end-of-the-year event recently honoring top employees and leaders for 2024.

lead, and the Featured
Leader of the Year was Denny Walter, banquet chef. Both employees received five days off with pay, a cash award, a resort gift certificate, VIP reserved parking for one year and a cruise for two.
Additionally, all nominated Star Employees and Featured Leaders for 2024 were entered into a drawing to win one of three cruises for two. The winning employees were Christy Seymour, bartender; Gwen Gardner, security officer; and Bob Smith, slot attendant.

Top team member honored
VICKSBURG — WaterView Casino Hotel recently recognized its top team member for the fourth quarter of 2024, as well as those employees with perfect attendance.
Cynthia Brown, slot attendant, was named Team Member of the Quarter. She received a designated parking space for one year, a cash prize and an award certificate.
Also recognized were those with perfect
attendance for December, including Angel
Woods, Jahan Amos, Brenda Reed,
Jamesa Scott, Sandra Hill, Sabrina Harris, Da’Nita Barnett, Peggy Cook and Joe Mack. Winners for the quarter were Shamia Roach and Lesley Sims. They each received $100.
