  Extraordinary HEROs
Caesars Entertainment recognized Cynthia Smith, uniform manager at Horseshoe Tunica, as a 2024 regional winner in the inaugural class of Extraordinary HEROs,
a program designed to honor those who demonstrate outstanding commitment and service to their communities and whose actions inspire positive change. Through countless volunteer hours, fundraising efforts, organized volunteer events and more, HEROs make a tangible difference for people every single day. Smith is pictured with Horseshoe General Manager Rob Brown.
  Boyd Gaming’s 50th Birthday
Boyd Gaming recently marked its 50th anniversary, and the company’s two Mississippi properties joined in the celebration. At IP Casino Resort Spa in Biloxi, team members enjoyed cake and sparkling cider. Additionally, team members were given a 50th anniversary T-shirt or polo, which can be worn on the fourth of every month in 2025. Team members at Sam’s Town (pictured) in Tunica also received commemorative T-shirts during a special event. Boyd Gaming was founded in 1975.

Treasure Bay marks anniversaries
 BILOXI — Crewmembers celebrating anniversaries ranging from five years to 30 years at Treasure Bay were honored at a special luncheon held at the end of 2024. COO Susan Varnes presented each with a certificate, photo frame, and cash award.
“These are the individuals who have helped create the environment that makes Treasure Bay so special. Their warmth and attention to the guests create the loyalty we have come to enjoy from our guests,” said Varnes.
In 2024, five crewmembers, Rodney Derouen, Kim Dunaway, Lee Ann Hunter, Jamie Mitchell and Kelly Trosclair, were recognized for their 30 years of service at the property, while Anthony Dafun and Shane Seymour celebrated 25 years and Brad Cannon marked 20 years.
Recognized for 15 years at Treasure Bay were LaTanya Parker, Michelle Shearer, Leslie Smith and Justine Wheeler. James Brumfield, George Kelly, Ryan Meister, Jenna Nixon, Judy Phillips and Matthew Whitehouse were honored for 10 years.
Crewmembers who were honored for their fifth anniversary were Clint Bentley, Mary Bori, Cedrick Crandle, Dawn Davis, Shemika Durden, Devin Erwin, Kenya Graise, Randy Griggs, Darrell Hathorne, Beatrice Howard, Vanara Kang, Tracie Ladner, Giau Luong, Quinette Market, Zach Martindell, Gina Morante,
Jasmine Raboteau, Andrea Reed, Shelby Roberson, Rhonda Sargent, Justin Sawyer, Marshel Smith, Doreen Smith, Ebony Smith, Gerald Thames, Nikki Weis, Chrissy Wilson and John Wilson.
 17 Years At Harlow’s
Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa celebrated its 17th anniversary recently and honored its 17- year team members. Receiving recognition were Carolyn Drakes, Arthurly Phillips, Barbara Myers, Aaron Thomas, Kevin Bryant, LaTonya Washington, Antione Kimble, Brenda Chillis, Barbara Harris, Melissa Martin, Sabrina Trowell, Betty Harris, Tony Alexander, and Terry Bush. The team members are pictured with President and General Manager Roscoe Greene (far left) and Human Resources Director Nadia Gates (far right).
    Dedication At Nugget
Golden Nugget Biloxi recognized employee anniversaries, celebrating those who have been with the property for at least five years. Marking 30 years at the property was Terrence Gaines, while Deroxsett Johnson and Michelle Cobbins (above) and Jack Burnette marked 25 years. Frederick Simmons and Angela Burdine were recognized for 20 years. And, Kathy Mayfield, Shawn VanLancke, William Burke and Don Masholie were honored for 15 years. There were also 23 employees (below) recognized for 10 years at Golden Nugget and 32 employees recognized for five years.
