TRAIN THE TRAINER
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is proud to introduce the Train the Trainer program, designed to equip higher education professionals, career advisors and workforce development leaders with the tools and strategies needed
to better prepare students for the evolving job market. This interactive program focuses on best practices in student engagement, adaptive leadership and career readiness, empowering trainers to effectively mentor and guide students toward professional success. Participants engage in hands-on workshops, case studies and collaborative discussions to develop actionable insights that can be implemented at their institutions. By the end of the program, attendees leave with enhanced coaching techniques, industry-aligned training methodologies and a deeper understanding of workforce trends, ensuring
they are fully equipped to support students’ career growth and development.
VERIZON IMMERSION
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund and Verizon hosted the
Verizon Immersion Program—a unique opportunity for 10 students from historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to gain an immersive experience at Verizon headquarters in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Students received an in-depth understanding of Verizon’s organization and culture through interactive simulations; participants had the chance to network with Verizon executives, gaining insights and building valuable connections; and scholars engaged in real- world case studies to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They also prepared for future career opportunities with Verizon through targeted recruitment activities. This experience is meticulously designed to prepare students for the professional world and to create a direct pathway for internships with Verizon for summer 2025.
ZS SEED IMMERSION
In partnership with ZS, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) hosted the ZS SEED Immersion Program.
This program offered students an opportunity to embark on an immersive, personal, professional and technical development journey. The students accepted to participate had the chance to engage in a developmental experience where they learned more about the ZS global management consulting industry. The first stage of this journey allowed students to engage in ZS culture, approaches and impact related to innovative problem-solving.
