CHEVRON ENERGY INNOVATION SUMMIT
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), in partnership with Chevron Corporation, conducted the fourth-annual Chevron Energy Innovation Summit.
This exciting three-and-a-half-day case competition covered design-thinking, business modeling and pitch instruction. Chevron Technology Ventures hosted panel sessions focused on careers and innovation in energy. Winners received scholarship awards and all participants had the opportunity to meet with Chevron executives and senior leaders.

CHALLENGE
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) | NexTech
Innovation Challenge represents the first of its kind, a
forward-thinking program crafted to guide students from
traditional in-person learning to the vibrant and engaging world of emerging technologies. This initiative is focused on deeply immersing students in the forefront of digital innovation, highlighting the significance of a decentralized, interconnected digital economy. Established by the Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) division of TMCF, scholars engaged in developmental activities and immersive experiences including Metaverse training, design thinking and pitching in the digital realm, and so much more. This innovation challenge took place virtually in the Metaverse.
NBA INNOVATE THE FUTURE
BUSINESS PITCH COMPETITION
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), in partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA), hosted the Innovate the Future business pitch competition. This four-day innovation challenge featured a case competition, which combined design thinking framework, business modeling and pitch instruction to aid selected HBCU students in developing impactful solutions. Scholarships were awarded to the winning team at the conclusion of this once-in-a-lifetime learning experience.
