to order. The result? Crispy edges, tender bites, and unmatched flavor.
That attention to authenticity is no coincidence. Owner John grew up in a Greek household, and his parents’ recipes and traditions shaped his entire culi- nary perspective. He carries that pride into every detail of the menu.
If you’re dining during the day, the lunch specials are an incredible deal. Entrées come with Greek potatoes, green beans, and a Greek salad. I’m often wary of Greek dressing because it can lean sharp and herb- heavy, but John’s version is unique—thicker, sweeter, and beautifully balanced. Mustard and honey are staples in many traditional vinaigrettes, and he uses both, keeping the herbs mild and sprinkling them on the salad instead.
Of course, you can’t visit a Greek restaurant with- out trying the gyros. We ordered a classic gyro with feta and the Super Grilled Chicken Gyro. Both were wrapped in warm, pillowy pita with just the slightest crisp around the edges. The classic was herby and comforting, with cold, creamy tzatziki and tangy feta adding extra brightness. The Super Grilled Chick- en Gyro was lighter but no less flavorful with smoky grilled chicken, lightly sautéed peppers and onions, melted provolone, and a cool drizzle of tzatziki.
For mains, we chose two Greek staples: Moussaka and Pastitsio. Moussaka layers eggplant and potato with seasoned ground beef and a thick, fluffy bécha- mel that bakes into a golden, custardy top. Pastitsio offers a similar flavor profile but replaces the vegeta- bles with long macaroni noodles, creating a heartier, pasta-forward bite. Both dishes were warm, aromatic, and comforting on a cold, drizzly day.
We ended with a classic baklava, served warm and dripping with honey, walnuts, and crisp phyllo. It was everything you want from baklava—sticky, crunchy, fragrant, and impossible to stop eating. And if you’re brave, try the Greek coffee: short, strong, and sweet enough to wake up your ancestors.
