The Women Behind the Scenes of WXXV
You don’t often see them in front of the camera, but these women at WXXV help ensure that your FOX, NBC, and CW channels stay on the air and in your community.
Donna Ingram has been the Business Manager and HR Director for the station for 35 years. She is the longest tenured employee of the 27 women employed at the Morris Multimedia station, but is by no means the only female manager behind the scenes.
“Everyone knows Donna. She’s the Grand Dame of WXXV. That’s why she’s front and center in our photo. She the one that makes sure we all get our paychecks!” says Deidre Pyron, Director of Creative Services.
Pyron has been with WXXV for 13 years and manages the commercial production team, station promotions and marketing to let viewers know what’s going on at WXXV.
In advertising, Tami Foto has been a mainstay of the sales team as Senior Marketing Consultant for the past nine years, while Michelle Eubank rose from the ranks to become our Digital Sales Manager.
“I love helping a small local business double its revenue within a year through a targeting marketing strategy,” says Foto. “It’s even better when clients become lifelong friends.”
“I never thought I’d get into sales, but I fell in love with it. Helping local business owners sustainably grow their business is exciting when they see the results,” says Eubank.
Production Manager Casey Ducre has been making sure newscasts run smoothly for the past nine years and currently oversees and
mentors a team of 12 directors and production assistants.
“My advice to other women in this field is to let go of any limiting
beliefs that may hold you back from your goals. The right mindset can take you a long way,” asserts Ducre.
Kate Magandy Holzhauser and Carolina Mitchell are leaders in the newsroom.
Holzhauser joined WXXV in 2019 after a lengthy career in print journalism. She was named Assistant News Director in 2021. Holzhauser said working with the staff and helping them develop their skills – and their stories – is one of the most rewarding aspects of her job. “I love seeing a reporter or anchor come into their own and develop their skills. It makes me feel like I’m contributing to the future of journalism.”
Carolina Mitchell is a Jackson County native who joined the team
as the digital content producer nine years ago before recently being promoted to Content Manager. “The best part of my job is celebrating and sharing good news out to our community,” says Mitchell.
