What I like best about what I do is:
Being able to furnish customers with all kinds of sweets, drinks, health and beauty products, tobacco products and enable them to satisfy their customers, for 100 years, since 1924.
Advice I would give to young female entrepreneurs:
Don’t be afraid to start your own business or carry on a family business, but use your smarts and help others enjoy the fruits of this earth.

A social worker by education, Tara Wallace loves connecting
her real estate clients and visiting friends to local happenings and resources here on the coast. “Many of the clients I work with are new to the community and are in awe of everything Coastal Mississippi has to offer,” she says.
She is a big fan of challenges
and finds that most hurdles in life make her stronger, wiser, and more prepared.
She and her husband purchased a small candle company earlier this year from one of her past clients turned friend. Details can be found at www.pedalcandleco.com.

Andrea Jenkins
Owner
As a little girl, Andrea Jenkins was surrounded by fashion. Her mother was a seamstress and fashion designer, and Jenkins was inspired to pursue a career in the industry. This led her to study Fashion Merchandising in college, followed by years of retail management. “When the time was right, I was able to take my experience and create a unique business of my own,” she says.
Now, The Threaded Cork has been open for almost seven years. Her favorite part of the job? Helping people! “I love being a part of their experience while they shop!”
