For 16 of the 19 years The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint has been open, two
very impressive women have worked faithfully, hand in hand with The Shed owners to guide the team to great successes in many arenas:
Cheryl Atkinson and Manda Salinas.
Cheryl Atkinson, mother of three and
proud grandmother of two, rapidly moved into management and developed a nationally recognized successful catering program and has taught catering classes on a national platform. She has played a critical role
in the development of The Shed’s food safety training manuals, HAACP plans, employee training, catering techniques, food presentation, and online sales.
Manda Salinas, mother of two and passionate Yogi, is the administrative architect of The Shed employee scheduling for daily operations. She has been instrumental in the development of employee training manuals,
handbooks, human resources, and beverage management. Her enthusiasm for creating “A Family Food Drinkery” has helped to put The Shed BBQ on the map with over 180 available beers and a knowledgeable crew to enhance guest experience in this iconic BBQ & Blues Joint.
Atkinson and Salinas are the glue between more than 60 happy employees and thousands of satis ed customers. To both of these ladies: “We Thank You.”
