Dr. Karen Slater is the owner of Coastal Hearing Center
and servicing the Coast for 28 years. She has enjoyed many successes throughout her career, but the best moments have been when a patient with longstanding hearing loss has been able to hear again. “I have witnessed many happy tears, both from the patients and their loved ones,” she recalls.
Slater is proud of the four extraordinary sons she has raised, all while managing her own business. Balancing her career and the close bonds she shares with her family has been a challenge, but a rewarding one.

SIMPLE ORGANIZATION SOLUTIONS 228.669.7073 sosbytsb@cableone.net
Terri Brown created Simple Organization Solutions (S.O.S.) after having friends, colleagues, and family members encourage her to help others get and stay organized. What she loves most about her business is assisting others in simplifying their daily lives by streamlining the spaces they live and work in, and seeing how happy her clients are with the results.
“My personal goal is to work with each client to confront, clear, and conquer their chaos and clutter in a respectful
and professional manner. Building and maintaining great relationships with my clients is of the utmost importance.”

Rebeca Fairley opened Panache Apparel & Accessories 13 years ago and has since built a thriving business with dedicated customers. The store is known for its trendy styles that suit women of all ages, but what really sets it apart is its staff.
“We get to know each of our customers’ individual styles, their likes and dislikes,” says Fairley. “When they come in, it’s like shopping with a friend. We make recommendations and can show them things that will make them look and feel great.”
Whitney Dubuisson joined the Panache team four years ago and has been the store manager for a year and
a half. “She helps me with everything from buying inventory to merchandising,” Fairley said. “She is so creative. She’s a great stylist, but she also brings that
extra something to our store, coming up with fun new business ideas, such as our Pop & Shop where we offered popcorn and champagne to our customers. They loved it!”
Fairley has built lasting relationships with her clients since she started her business and is happy to see that customers have the same trust in her store manager. “She has been a huge asset to the store, not only for me but
for our customers as well,” said Fairley. “I couldn’t do it without her.”
