Sugar Tribe Sweets and Events began as a cottage bakery. In May 2019, they opened their rst store front in Ocean Springs.
The bakery offers a variety of confections including custom cakes, custom royal iced cookies, brownies, cookies, snow cones, cake pops, chocolate covered strawberries and so much more.
“We are a small local bakery and we pride ourselves on quality,” says Owner Jennifer May eld-Echols. “Most cakes and treats are made the day before the order to guarantee its freshness. We are also your one-stop party place for event planning. From cakes and cookies to balloons and even linens, we can accommodate all of your event needs in one place.”
The team at Sugar Tribe enjoys making their clients’ dreams come true, creating edible works of art that add that extra special touch to their events. “We take pride in making your event one that we would be proud to host,” May eld-Echols said.
While custom delicacies are a big draw for Sugar Tribe, their Boho Jars are what put them on the map. “These treats are The Tribe’s twist on cakes, cookies and brownies in a jar,” May eld-Echols explains. “They quickly became a best-seller!”
To other female entrepreneurs looking to follow their dreams, May eld-Echols says, “Never give up. When you feel like you can’t push any further, pray about it and nd the last little bit of strength you have to keep
going. What is meant for you will always be for you. It took me eight years to get to my dream of opening a store front, but it happened when it was meant to happen.”
