What I like best about what I do is: Creating protected outdoor areas for people to enjoy. It’s gratifying to see people, especially youth, exploring their natural environment.
My greatest successes have been: Over the past 19 years as executive director of the Land Trust, I have had many successes. One of these was to help the Coast to recover the tree canopy lost due to Hurricane Katrina through the Replant and the Perseverance Oaks Living Memorial programs. This year, the Land Trust reached a milestone of protecting over 10,000 acres of green space. But my greatest success has been to inspire others to leave a lasting legacy by protecting open spaces we all love.
