story by Lynn Lofton
The 36th Annual Biloxi Seafood Festival, hosted by the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce and the City of Biloxi, will be held September 9 and 10 at Biloxi’s Town Green. The two-day festival is a celebration of Biloxi’s rich culture, heritage, and connection to the seafood industry.
Gulfport native Benjamin Rusher designed the winning Seafood Festival poster. He currently owns and operates Integrity Tattoo Company. Rusher began a career as an artist in 2008 and loves to work in watercolors.
“I was inspired by the Gulf Coast and by the Seafood Festival posters of yesteryear,” Rusher said. “The old ones are my favorites and I hope I did them justice.”
Posters can be purchased at the Biloxi Visitors Center, Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and Negrotto’s Gallery.
