COASTNOTES
RETURNS TO JONES PARK

October 6 and 7 marks the return of the Gulfport Music Festival to Jones Park. The musical lineup features Mississippi-based 3 Doors Down, as well as artists Shaggy, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, Fuel, Cracker, House
of Pain, Sister Hazel, Bubba Sparxxx, Quad City DJs, Shallow Side and Wild Fire. The two-day festival will be filled with great food, music, and entertainment.
The festival was suspended for 2015 in the hope of regrouping to make the event more affordable. “Being able to produce the Gulfport Musical Festival
and bringing so many well-known artists to the Gulf Coast for two days of music and fun, while keeping our ticket prices affordable, was our main goal for 2017,” Alpha Media Vice President Ricky Mitchell said.
Weekend passes will cost $35 plus tax and fees. Children’s tickets will be available at the gate for $10 per day. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com
“We are excited about the return of the Gulfport Music Festival to the city and Jones Park,” said Chris Vignes with the city of Gulfport. “This year’s
lineup is sure to draw tens of thousands to our Mississippi Gulf
Coast.”
