Atrium Café at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino provides a breath of fresh air to guests with its coastal garden setting and new menu offerings featuring local selections. Formerly known as Terrace Café, Atrium Café also has all the favorite dishes guests have to come to know and love at the restaurant.
Located in the atrium right inside
the casino’s main entrance, the 310-
seat restaurant has a fresh new look
to it with bright decor that is a nod
to the Southern outdoor experience. Guests will notice the space resembles
a Southern patio with topiary statues, colorful floral carpet, bright skylights and walls of Haint blue.
The specific choice of blue was deliberate. Southern folklore has it the color, which represents water,
helps to ward off evil spirits, as spirits cannot traverse water. Additionally, a blue ceiling, often found on southern verandas, is thought to imitate blue skies and keep flies away. Along with the blue, Atrium Café, like many Southern houses, has yellow walls and there is short, wrought iron fencing around the front of the restaurant letting guests people-watch throughout their meal.
Atrium Café’s new menu is a nod to the past and present, said Beau Rivage Executive Chef Kristian Wade. “We
got together with the staff to find out what guests really want. The new menu reflects our Gulf of Mexico location with a mix of traditional dishes and local favorites at the forefront so guests can get that full Southern experience.”
