Abusiness celebrating a 70th anniversary has obviously embraced a winning formula that has kept it viable through the years. Such
is the case for Kelly Services which was founded in 1946 by William Russell Kelly in
Detroit. It was a time of cultural change in the United States and Kelly met those challenges with the steadfast belief that every customer should be treated like the only customer.
Although the company has evolved from concentrating primarily on traditional office services into a global staffing leader, that founding philosophy is still its keystone.
“The founder had a great vision that we still maintain today,” says Robyn Tennyson, district manager with Kelly Services in Gulfport. “We want to be the best workforce supplier to our customers; one with high values that help us create strong and long- lasting relationships. We tailor our services to meet the specific staffing needs of each customer.”
Tennyson stresses that Kelly Services provides a wide range of workforce solutions that enables businesses
to keep pace with the changing world of work. “By performing a comprehensive customer needs assessment, we can anticipate a customer’s staffing needs and recommend the appropriate staffing solution,” said Tennyson. “Additionally, we perform the tasks associated with the recruiting, screening, interviewing and hiring of
employees, which allows customers to focus on their core business.”
Mikel Henry, office manager for The Focus Group, is
an appreciative customer. “We’ve always had a good experience with Kelly Services,” she said. “We use them
for staffing when our people are out on vacation or sick.
We specify the skills we need and what duties will be performed. We’ve been fortunate that they’ve sent the same employee who is familiar with our company and what we do.”
