Stephen W. Dummer serves as the Managing Partner of Dummer Law Group, PLLC, a Platinum Client Champion Rated law firm. His interest in the legal field stems from his desire to
be at the forefront of business in service to the community. His business interests and aptitude for complex legal issues has driven his practice toward corporate business litigation.
After completing his tour of duty as a Recon Marine in the U.S. Marine Corps, Dummer earned his B.A. in criminal justice with honors at the University of Wyoming and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
He studied international law at the University of Cambridge, England and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Chief Justice James Smith of the Mississippi Supreme Court.
Dummer is a Martindale Hubble AV Preeminent rated attorney whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, business law, forming business entities, drafting corporate formation agreements, corporate sale contracts, international
law, real estate, construction law and estate planning. He also has prepared, presented and prosecuted claims for his fellow veterans’
benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs.
He has been named one of the Sun Herald’s Top 10 Business
Leaders Under 40, is a graduate of Leadership Gulf Coast and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, and has been awarded the ASLA’s Top 40 Under 40 Litigation Lawyers in Mississippi and Top 100 Litigation Attorneys in Mississippi designations.
Dummer Law Group is engaged with community efforts mainly through Dummer’s wife, Geneva. “I am very proud of her accomplishments in this area and our community is better for her efforts,” he says.
Regarding why he and his wife settled on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, he says, “I essentially won the lottery when I received an opportunity to move to the Gulf Coast to practice at a regional law firm. The Gulf Coast has been supportive of my family and rewarding professionally. I cannot imagine a better place to raise our family.”
When not working, Dummer spends his time with his family at power boating events, at exotic car events, mountain biking, swimming, and camping.
