Stacy N. Rodgers, paralegal with the firm, was inspired to enter the legal profession by her grandfather, Woodrow Patton. She has extensive experience providing paralegal support with client matters before all state and federal courts in Mississippi, including the Fifth Circuit of Appeals.
She is also versed in providing paralegal support for matters before the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Social Security Administration, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Rodgers assists clients by providing regular contact and updates, managing the discovery process, maintaining the case calendar and deadlines, and drafting/finalizing all pleadings and letters, as well as other investigative and research tasks. She maintains all document production and the client case files.
“When not working, I enjoy spending time with my son, Jaxon (Bear), my fiancée, Steven Stevens, and my giant but loving German Shepherd, Diesel,” she says. “I also love baking and decorating cakes and pies for those I love, doing outdoor activities with Bear and Diesel, and spending quality time with family and friends.”
Ben Bowden, firm president and attorney, began practicing in 1988 after graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law. His practice includes workers’ compensation, automobile accidents, 18-wheeler accidents, offshore accidents, on-premises accidents, insurance bad-faith litigation, False Claims Act claims, and federal whistleblower prohibited personnel practice claims. He also represents federal and state law enforcement personnel through the Southern States PBA.
Bowden has lived in Coastal Mississippi all his life. “I appreciate being part of the unique and various ‘little cultures’ that are found in each coastal county and town,” he says. “While we are One Coast, the distinct characteristics of each community contribute to the complete culture, all of which I love and enjoy.”
The inspiration in his life has been many people who have selflessly given of themselves for his benefit. “While they are too numerous to specifically name, I can say that without my family, it would have been impossible for me to have achieved any success in my practice,” he says. “My wife is my compass and helps center my perspective. My daughter is a PhD candidate and is the current 2024 Eudora Welty Research Fellow. My cat, Faulkner, is simply awesome.”
