aking a life-changing decision is never easy, but one that is made easier by the realization that it is a change for the better.
Aeriel Walley is a lively young woman from Moss Point with a passion for her family and
exploring the world. As a flight attendant, she was able to travel and pursue her dreams, but felt that her weight was always in the way.
“I wanted control back over my life, and I knew that my weight gain was a major issue that affected every aspect of my life and happiness,” Walley said. “It was time for a change.”
Upon making the decision to lose weight, Walley explored
a variety of options, and ultimately chose South Mississippi Surgical Weight Loss Center due to their affordable programs and location. “I wanted to feel comfortable after my surgery, and it’s always nice to have your surgery locally,” said Walley. “Familiar faces from the community made me feel more at ease.”
With the help of her doctors, Walley chose to receive a gastric sleeve because the surgery is minimally invasive. With less down time to factor in, she was optimistic that she could make the necessary adjustments in her life to make sure the sleeve was a success. “I started by changing my eating habits,”
