story and photos by Chelsea Gieselmann
Absolutely nothing beats a big ole’ pot of turnip greens, any true Southerner can tell you that without any regret. But when we think about turnip greens, we tend to automatically ponder what we’re going to serve with the greens in order to create a complete meal. Most Southern purists keep their turnips simple, appreciating more of the natural taste of the green, leaving it more as a side dish. What if I told you that you can indeed make a complete meal just by adding a little flair to your turnips? Turnips with little drops of cornbread goodness is not only the ultimate Southern meal, but it will also exite your tastebuds and fill your belly.
