Rapsican Systems Classic
In 2020, The Rapiscan Systems Classic is once again giving back
to its community through Birdies
for Charity. All registered 501c3 organizations and schools in the lower six counties of Mississippi are eligible to participate in Birdies for Charity, presented by Gulf Coast Community Foundation. Once enrolled, charities and schools will have the ability to solicit pledges based on the number of birdies made by PGA TOUR Champions players during the tournament.
“Through the program, individuals and corporations are given the opportunity to make a one-time or
a per-birdie donation to the eligible charity of their choice,” says Mary Wesche, tournament manager.
“The charities receive 100 percent of every pledge collected, plus a minimum of an additional 5 percent in matching funds from the Birdies for Charity fund, made possible by Gulf Coast Community Foundation, Chevron and the Bacot McCarty Foundation.”
Birdies for Charity is a risk-free program with no out-of-pocket expenses for participating charities. Visit RapiscanSystemsClassic.com/ birdies-for-charity/ to sign up or donate to the matching fund.
