“What do you care about most on your wedding day?”
This is the number one question for wedding planners who are trying to work with brides inundated by images of picture perfect weddings on social media. To some, the wedding dress or the venue may seem like the most important decision for a bride. However, new wedding trends have encouraged brides to focus much more on intimate details of the wedding, resulting in a concentration on personalization and the overall experience of the bride and groom, as well as the guests attending the wedding.
At many wedding receptions, personalization comes in the form
of party favors. Maggie and Hunter Day, who tied the knot in May, chose to send their guests home with drink koozies that featured their monogram and wedding hashtag. “We chose to give koozies because
we have a collection at home from past weddings, and they never fail to bring back memories and laughs when we use them. So, I wanted the same for our night,” said Maggie.
The Days also followed a popular trend of including a featured cocktail at their reception. Typically,
these cocktails are created to reflect something important to the couple. The Days offered guests “The Murphy,” in honor of their white Labrador.
Another wedding trend that has continued to gain traction
on the wedding circuit
