history buff. The desk is a table from a friend that Angela transformed with paint.
“I get hand-me-down furniture and find things on trash piles and re-do them,” she said. “That’s what I like to do.”
There are several examples of her ingenuity in the dining room on the other side of the foyer. The buffet is a found item and hanging above it are shelves made from a wooden shipping pallet. Purchased drapes here and in other rooms were given a custom look with fringe and bead trim by Allison Baronich of Biloxi.
The kitchen is a work in progress that will be given the Angela touch soon. She likes to cook and is carefully planning the changes to this important part of the home.
In the living room and bedrooms, she installed gray porcelain tiles with the look of wood. Paneled walls
were given coats of soft white paint, which serve as a good backdrop for colorful furniture and accessories. Glass Mardi Gras beads that Angela caught during her childhood were hung in a shadow box for a real nostalgic piece.
