Geneva Dummer has been a strong supporter and active partner in the small business community since her first location opened
in 2016. The Meeting Place functions as a business incubator and shared/flexible office facility offering office memberships designed to help small businesses keep their overhead low, allowing business owners to grow at their own pace establishing a firm financial foundation from which they can focus on strengthening their business and investing in their
staff rather than maintaining a building/office environment.
Dummer was inspired to start her business when she ran across a statement that claimed that most small businesses go out of business within five years. “It turns out that most of the reason was due to rent, utilities, maintenance, and office staff,” she says. “I set out to make those things more affordable and also to connect business owners to resources that would ensure they have the support they need to thrive.”
The people that inspire Dummer the most are her husband and children. “They have helped me grow in ways I didn’t even know were possible.” Other members of the family include their three cats. She also loves performing in community theater and taking family RV trips.
