IP Casino recognizes top team members, leaders
BILOXI — IP Casino Resort Spa recognized Team Member of the Month winners for April, May and June. Part-Time Team Members of the Quarter and Team Leaders of the Quarter were also honored. These team members were nominated by their colleagues for their outstanding service and teamwork, and for going above and beyond their daily tasks.
In April, front-of-house Team Members of the Month were Kevin Barker, housekeeper; Phillip Silvani, housekeeper; and Sandra Sandoval-Garcia, guest room attendant, and back-of-house winners were Karen Burns, senior human resources specialist; Randall Ball, Senses Spa & Salon attendant; and Ashley Smith, senior human resources specialist.
My T. Le, retail salesclerk; Lisa Ramsey, dealer; and Ashanti Martin, player development representative, were front-of-house Team Members of the Month for May. And, Bryan Shaw, lead maintenance engineer; Scott Chiddix, maintenance engineer; and Eduardo Merced, outside maintenance attendant, were back-of-house winners.
In June, front-of-house Team Members of the Month were Latrice Smith, master bank and cage cashier; Jeremy Bridges, food server; and Maurice “Moe” Stephens Jr., parking booth and valet attendant. Back- of-house winners were Kellee Davis, revenue audit clerk; Sabrina Martin, senior human resources specialist; and Shauna Appell, housekeeping secretary.
Thaddeus Nitkiewicz, security officer, was named Part- time Team Member of the Second Quarter. And, Team Leaders of the Quarter were Matthew Brooks, Bayview Café sous chef; Eddie Ray, security training manager; and Brandi Ingram, warehouse manager.
Along with being recognized, winners will be entered in a Team Member of the Year drawing for a chance to visit Hawaii or Las Vegas.

Golden Nugget salutes STARs
BILOXI — Golden Nugget Biloxi recently named its STAR Employees of the Month for the second quarter of 2023.
The second quarter Leader of the Quarter recipients were announced, as well. Nominees from several departments were recognized at a special luncheon.
The second quarter STAR employees were Brandye Pierce, human resources; Javon Butler, marketing; and Jennifer Brown, security. And, the Leaders of the Quarter were Scott Hoetger, slots; Gaossou Diallo, food and beverage; and Tony Sparks, security.
All winners received eight hours of PTO, $300 cash and $100 in resort credit. All are also eligible to be named Team Member or Leader of the Year for 2023.

Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel recognized its May and June Employee Spotlights. Emma Williams (top), casino host, was honored for May, and April Stevenson, food and beverage manager, was honored for June. Williams has worked in the casino industry for 20 years and has been with Magnolia Buffs for the past 10 years. Stevenson started her food and beverage career 21 years ago in Tunica. She has been with Magnolia Bluffs for seven years. They were both cited for providing exceptional service to guests.
Security Star
Trop Greenville named Michael Joiner its Star Security Officer of the Month for July. Joiner was selected for going above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to his job performance not only in the security department, but also in other areas. Recognized as an asset to the department, especially on day and grave shifts, Joiner works whenever
needed and does what is asked of him without hesitation or complaint.
