Founder’s Day Celebration
Hard Rock Biloxi celebrated the 51st birthday of Hard Rock Café, which opened its doors in London on June 14, 1971. Now known as Founder’s Day around the globe, the day is celebrated with employees dressing in hippie
attire, just as the founders did in the early ’70s. Hard Rock Biloxi held a costume contest with prizes for the employees. Costume contest winners were Nicole Mosely (left), player’s services, first place; Tammy Pruitt, player’s services, second; Cheri Gabel, front desk, third; and Dixie Collins (right), front desk, fourth.
July Fourth Fun
Riverwalk Casino Hotel held a special July Fourth event for team members. Along with enjoying a barbecue meal, team members participated in giveaways for gas cards and gas grills.
Casino Mural
IP Casino Resort Spa and the Biloxi Public Arts Project recently revealed a mural painted by Gulf Coast artist Grace Bennett. Guests who came in July to see the mural, located outside the main entrance of the casino, enjoyed a meet and greet with Bennett, took photos and received a commemorative T-shirt. “IP is thrilled to partner with and support the mission of the Biloxi Public Arts Project, and serve as a landmark on Biloxi’s growing art scene,” said Laura Shoemake, IP Casino project coordinator. Shoemake and other IP employees are pictured with Bennett and a Biloxi Public Arts Project representative in front of the mural.
Scarlet Pearl brings in dental team for associate care
D’IBERVILLE — Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort, in partnership with Jet Dental, offered free and low-cost dental services to associates at the property.
For two days in July, Jet Dental professionals were on-site at the D’Iberville property. The dental team provided a number of services, including basic exams, X-rays, teeth whitening and more.

we found out through the pandemic
is people took a step back from
self-health and self-care, and we
wanted to make it really easy for our employees to go to the dentist. We have an on-site clinic, so we thought, why not bring the dentist here for the employees. We’re definitely going to do this again.”
Jet Dental professionals provided free and low-cost dental services to Scarlet Pearl associates.
